I'd indulge in all of the above, except strawberries were in season 2 months ago here. But Ice cream is eternally in season...

Relieved to find a couple of comments here. After I'd posted I felt a little apprehensive that it could be viewed as flippant. I'm still not sure what I was trying to convey, perhaps a smidge of sarcasm (or was it that brave British stiff upper lip?) that the country was in devastation but life goes on.
It's where the flow took me in that moment and being 'Driftwood' ..........
